I drew this after reading about the rising star cave in South Africa. Ancient bones were discovered deep, deep within the cave, so they put out an international call for archaeologists with caving experience who could fit through a gap 7 inches/18cm wide. This is why I studied physics, because death by electrocution or explosion are quick and relatively painless, whereas slowly dying after getting stuck in a cave is neither of those things.
